Name of Programme: Diploma in Education (Primary)
Course Structure: Students are prepared for the University of Zimbabwe Diploma in Education, Infants and Juniors. The course lasts three years.
The four main areas of study are:
1) Theory of Education - Theories in
Psychology
Philosophy
and Sociology of Education
2) Professional Studies: this component covers technique of teaching in all primary school subjects and includes classroom management.
3) Teaching Practice: Students are deployed during the course in schools throughout Manicaland to put into practice the skills they learnt at college.
4) Main Subject: Each student chooses one subject for personal enrichment.

Geography
Home Economics and
Religious Studies.
Entry Requirements: Five 'O' Levels passes with a 'C' or better, including English Language and Mathematics.

Duration: Three Years
Fees: Students accepted into the college must pay affiliation and examination fees to the University of Zimbabwe through the College. Students must also pay graduation and non-refundable deposit fees, which vary from time to time. Industrial fees are required from students studying certain subjects such as Science and Home Economics.
The Government provides loans to cover tuition and boarding fees. These moneys will be recovered when students have completed their course.
